Jahrhundert. So kompakt in die Regionalgeschichte einzutauchen, gelingt nur an wenigen Stellen in Nordhessen.<\/p>\n<p>Vom Start am Rokoko-Juwel Schloss Wilhelmsthal f\u00fchrt der Weg zu einem Beispiel h\u00f6fischer Jagdgeschichte mit dem Tiergarten und den dazugeh\u00f6renden Jagdsternen.<br \/>\nIn diesem Waldgebiet, in dem Wildtiere speziell f\u00fcr die Jagd gehalten wurden, lud Landgraf Friedrich II. von Hessen-Kassel zum h\u00f6fischen Jagdvergn\u00fcgen ein.<br \/>\nBereits im Tiergarten finden sich bronzezeitliche H\u00fcgelgr\u00e4ber. Direkt am Waldrand mit Blick auf Calden empf\u00e4ngt den Wanderer die Jungsteinzeit mit einem Galeriegrab und vor allem mit dem durch Steinlandmarken kenntlich gemachten Erdwerk. Die Galeriegr\u00e4ber verdeutlichen, dass die Gegend um Calden bereits fr\u00fch besiedelt war. Dass der Raum Calden in der Jungsteinzeit von besonderer Bedeutung war, belegt das Erdwerk, dessen Ausma\u00dfe beeindruckend sind.<\/p>\n<p>Im Laufe des Eco Pfades Arch\u00e4ologie Calden wechseln sich stille Waldstrecken mit Ausblicken auf die heutige Kulturlandschaft rund um Calden ab \u2013 neben der arch\u00e4ologischen Vielfalt bietet der Weg auch landschaftliche Abwechslung.<\/p>\n<p>Eco Pfad Arch\u00e4ologie Calden wurde vom Hessisch-Waldeckschen Gebirgs- und Heimatverein als gepr\u00fcfter Wanderweg zertifiziert.
