Hier haben Fr\u00fchgeschichte, Mittelalter und j\u00fcngere Neuzeit ihre Spuren hinterlassen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Ringwall auf dem Ahlbergplateau, Scherbenfunde im Bereich einer W\u00fcstung, Abbaugruben f\u00fcr Ton und Sand, Relikte von Landwehr sowie Bergbau sind Zeugnisse menschlichen Wirkens.<br \/>\nMit 394 m ist die Basaltkuppe des Ahlberges eine markante und weithin sichtbare Erhebung am westlichen Rande des Reinhardswaldes.<\/p>\n<p>Der Rundweg beginnt am Parkplatz an der Reithalle am Nordrand von Mariendorf (Station 1). Er f\u00fchrt durch die Siedlung am Ahlberg, \u00fcber eine 394 m hohe Basaltkuppe und weiter hinunter ins &#8222;B\u00e4renloch&#8220;. Durch einen Hohlweg geht es dann vorbei an einem Hutestein \u00fcber den Wildgraben zur\u00fcck nach Mariendorf. Bei guter Sicht bietet sich dem Wanderer ein weiter Blick auf D\u00f6rnberg, B\u00e4renberg und das Warburger Land.\u00a0Der steile An- und Abstieg am Ahlberg und die Wegef\u00fchrung \u00fcber nicht befestigte Pfade erfordern festes Schuhwerk.<\/p>\n<p>Historischer Dorfspaziergang Mariendorf<\/p>\n<p>Empfehlenswert ist auch der Dorfspaziergang durch die ehemalige &#8222;Colonie&#8220; f\u00fcr franz\u00f6sische Glaubensfl\u00fcchtlinge mit Informationen zur Entwicklung des Dorfes und zu historischen Geb\u00e4uden.
