Was zwischen der Zeit der bronzezeitlichen Grabh\u00fcgel bis zur Zeit der Marienkapelle am Wechselberg auf der Hochfl\u00e4che passiert ist, ist noch weitgehend unerforscht.<\/p>\n<p>Auf den ersten Blick f\u00e4llt die besondere strategische Lage der Sieburg auf. Die Sieburg wird von Weser und Diemel umflossen \u2013 das Plateau f\u00e4llt zu den Fl\u00fcssen steil ab und bietet so hervorragenden Schutz. Den Zugang von S\u00fcden in Richtung Reinhardswald bildet ein nur 600 Meter breiter Gel\u00e4ndesattel, der ebenfalls leicht zu verteidigen ist.<\/p>\n<p>Der Eco Pfad macht diese besondere topographische Situation erfahrbar. Wer den Aufstieg von Helmarshausen oder Bad Karlshafen nutzt, f\u00fcr den liegt es nahe, diesen Ort als \u00fcber die Jahrtausende hinweg als immer wieder genutzt und bewohnt zu betrachten.
